A Behind the Front Page roundtable luncheon co-hosted by Human Rights Watch.

The Central African Republic has been experiencing civil war since 2013 when Muslim rebels from the Seleka umbrella group seized power in the majority Christian country. The country is rich in minerals such as diamonds, gold, oil, and uranium, but its population is among the world's poorest. The United Nations believes that fugitive warlord and Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) leader Joseph Kony is hiding in Sudanese-controlled areas of a disputed enclave in South Sudan that borders both Sudan and the Central African Republic.

How can peace between the two factions in the Central African Republic be achieved? What does the presence of the LRA mean for human rights in the region?
