Kelsey L. Campbell is currently a Tony Patiño Fellow and Juris Doctor student at the University of California Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. She is the Editor-in-Chief of Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly, America's oldest journal devoted to constitutional scholarship.

Prior to law school, she served as a foreign policy advisor in the Office of the Secretary of Defense from 2011-2015. During this time, she served special tours of duty working on girls’ education programming at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan, and on special operations planning for Central and South America at Special Operations Command South. She has special expertise on Russia and arms control.

Kelsey is also a post-9/11 veteran. She served in the Air Force for seven years, including a tour of duty in Iraq. She has a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University and received the Commandant’s Award upon graduating from the Defense Language Institute. Her writings on foreign relations and women’s rights have appeared in Foreign Policy and the Huffington Post. Kelsey is a member of the Truman National Security Project, and has been recognized as a young leader by the Army War College, Aspen Security Forum, Eurasia Foundation, the German Marshall Fund of the United States, and the San Francisco World Affairs Council. Kelsey is also a leader for Veterans for American Ideals, a campaign by Human Rights First, which advocates for local national translators and refugees. Kelsey also serves as a commissioner on the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Commission.
