Kaveh Farzad is a Presidential Management Fellow and Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State, serving in the Energy Resources Bureau. He formerly served as the Senior Communications Officer at the Pacific Council on International Policy, where he oversaw the organization’s communications and external relations portfolio, including its website and Newsroom, Social Media platforms, media relations, and the design and production of marketing materials, web projects, and branding initiatives.
Prior to this he was the editor of the Beaver, the newspaper of the London School of Economics, where he managed a large staff of writers and contributed a weekly column on international affairs. He holds a B.A. in politics from the University of La Verne, where he won the school’s top research award for his dissertation on international ethics, and a masters in political theory from the London School of Economics, where he concentrated on international affairs and the ethics of war.
Kaveh lives in Washington, D.C., with his wife, Michaeline, their son, Oliver, and their terrier, Harry.
