Born in Chicago, IL. Attended Northwestern and the London School of Economics. Did apprenticeships at The Federal Reserve and Goldman Sachs in Chicago. After graduation found an opportunity with the Dubai government. Spent 3 years with HH Executive Office in Dubai (DDIA) and then 10 years with Mubadala a sovereign wealth fund in Abu Dhabi. Created and built out the Emirate's diversification strategy through global acquisitions (SR Technics, Piaggio Aero) and local joint ventures (Strata with Boeing and Airbus, AMMROC with Sikorsky and Lockheed Martin). Understand the Gulf culture extraordinarily well, their economic priorities, how important those are to them, write and speak Khaleej Arabic. In 2015 founded Soling Partners to advise global asset managers on the region and help them build capital partnerships in the Gulf. To date have worked with 14 firms that look after $3.2 trillion USD and have helped secure $1.4 billion USD from the region for them. Client roster includes Blue Owl, Northern Trust, Manulife, Dodge & Cox, Santander and others. Moved back to Newport Beach during the pandemic and would like to find a community in the greater Los Angeles area that is interested, experienced and fluent on global issues. I would be happy to contribute my views and experience on the Middle East. Including pulling in folks from the region to speak at Pacific Council events and to help guide trips to the region to be worthwhile and accretive. But mainly to get to know and be part of a globally engaged community in Los Angeles. This is my new neighborhood, it is dynamic and it would be nice to be a part of it. Thank you.
