Robert Llewellyn is the Director of Federal Relations for the University of Southern California. In this role, he advocates for the university president's higher education priorities to congressional and federal agency staff. This includes DEI, research security, research funding, Title IV, Title IX, student athletics, and campus safety. Prior to joining USC, he served as the Federal Affairs Coordinator for Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and Mayor Karen Bass. In that role, Robert advocated for the Mayor's transportation, housing, clean energy, economic development, civil rights, and public safety priorities. Robert also worked on President Biden's 2020 campaign as the Senior Fellow for national LGBTQ+ engagement. Before a career in policy and politics, Robert's love of movies led him to the film industry where he worked in marketing for major theatrical releases. Robert received his B.A. from Whittier College and his M.P.A. from the University of Southern California. He lives in Washington DC.
