Erik is a Partner and Founding Member of the Raine Group, a global Technology, Media and Telecom focused Merchant Bank. Raine provides a wide range of advisory services, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, private capital raising and strategic advice. Additionally, Raine manages investments across growth equity, venture capital and public markets, with current assets under management in excess of $3.3 billion.

Erik has over 15 years’ experience in the media and entertainment industry. He currently leads the Los Angeles office and Raine’s entertainment business. He has led several investments and advisory transactions in his ten years at Raine. He is considered to be a top advisor in the entertainment industry with clients including Universal, Warner Bros., Endeavor, STX Entertainment, Legendary Entertainment, Village Roadshow and Picturestart, among others. Erik has worked extensively in the digital media space with companies including Vice Media, Refinery29, Tastemade, Fandango, and Cheddar.

Erik is on the board of directors of Imagine Entertainment, Propagate Content and VideoAmp, and led a number of cross border deals with Chinese, Asian, European and Middle Eastern counterparties. Erik has been named as one of Hollywood’s Top 20 Dealmakers by the Hollywood Reporter and has been named in Variety’s annual Dealmakers Impact Report. Prior to Raine, he spent six years working in the entertainment industry. He worked at Industry Entertainment, one of the top talent management companies, prior to becoming a Vice President at Nick Wechsler Productions, a leading independent film producer. Here he worked on a number of feature films, including THE ROAD, which he produced in 2006.

Erik began his career at CNN, working in the newsroom and on the political debate show Crossfire.

Erik has a B.A. from Georgetown University where he graduated Cum Laude and majored in English and Economics, and an M.B.A from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
