Jenny is an independent consultant who works with philanthropies and non profits in the international development field on strategy, grantmaking, and research. Her content areas include inclusive governance (e.g., participation in policy processes), global policy issues (e.g., international tax policy and sovereign debt), evidence-informed policy (e.g., research grantmaking and data for development), gender equality, China's influence on the world, and international funding flows for global development. She is also an advisor to the Trust, Accountability, and Inclusion Collaborative, a donor network, and is interim Director of Insights at Keseb, a non profit working on democracy entrepreneurship transnationally.
Prior to consulting, she worked at the Gates Foundation on the Development Policy and Finance team. She managed the evidence-informed policy making portfolio supporting think tanks worldwide and the portfolio on development cooperation. She founded the gender data portfolio and supported its development and expansion to a variety of issues, including policy indicators.
She started her career at UN Women, and she has also worked for Yale Law School’s China Center, the House of Representatives, and the United States Treasury. Jenny has a Master’s in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University.
