Jonathan Williams is President & Chief Executive Officer of Battleship IOWA Museum / National Museum of the Surface Navy and President of LA Fleet Week Foundation.

Jonathan successfully led the efforts to acquire and convert the historic Battleship IOWA into a top-rated museum nationally and an economic development engine for the Los Angeles Harbor Area. He has helped lead the efforts in turning the Battleship IOWA Museum into the National Museum of the Surface Navy by 2025, with the recent launch of a $60 million Capital Campaign.

Jonathan is Co-Founder of LA Fleet Week and President of the Foundation tasked with the public engagement component of the event. He has successfully led the effort to turn LA Fleet Week into Los Angeles’s largest military oriented event and a template for positive public engagement with our sea services in the future.

His volunteer and community roles include Executive Producer of Veterans Day LA at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, President of San Pedro Property Owners Alliance, Past-President of Historic Naval Ships Association, and Past-Vice Chair of San Pedro Chamber of Commerce.

Jonathan’s private sector experience is diverse and focused on entrepreneur and executive roles. These roles have focused on start-up, finance, marketing, operations, and establishment of service oriented businesses into mid-sized organizations.

Jonathan and his wife, Shelley are proud parents of 2 sons that have a strong sense of civic responsibility and appreciation for our freedoms. He is a cigar connoisseur, enjoys working on his home including his more recent Tiki room addition, and visiting museums during various travels across the country.
