I currently serve as Senior Analyst on The Walt Disney Company’s Global Intelligence and Threat Analysis (GITA) team, covering Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to that I served as senior operations manager in Mogadishu, Somalia with the international development company, Research Triangle Institute. Prior to that I served on project management and security management teams with another international development company, Chemonics International, Inc. at its headquarters in Washington, D.C. In total I have about 10 years of analytical, research, and writing experience with the U.S. government, private sector, and news media. I have an M.A. in Eurasian, Russian, and East European Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and a B.A. in History and Minor in Middle East Studies from the College of William and Mary. I have Russian language proficiency. I grew up in Honduras, Korea, Virginia, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.
