PolicyWest is our annual fall conference dedicated to debate and discussion about the most pressing global issues of our time. Past conferences have featured a high-level keynote speaker, TED-style talks about the biggest challenges facing the United States, social gatherings, and more. Topics include the Internet of Things, national security and Silicon Valley, climate change, China's military, and a lunch debate on U.S. spending on defense.
Check out the conference agenda here, and register here.
We livestreamed these sessions at PolicyWest on our livestream page:
- TED-style talks on LA and international trade, democracy, climate change, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, starting at 9:45am PT
- The keynote panel: "From Kiev to Washington," a look at how a domestic political issue in Ukraine has come to dominate front pages across the United States, featuring experts on Ukrainian regional politics and U.S. national security law, starting at 4:45pm PT
We kicked off our year-long celebration of the Council's 25th anniversary at PolicyWest 2019, and we invite you to join us in recognizing this milestone. Our 25th anniversary is a moment of gratitude for the community we’ve built and the impact our work has had on Angelenos and global policy. It also marks a time of renewed energy to advance civic and global engagement while maintaining our values of nonpartisanship and inclusivity.
