RIMPAC is the world's largest international maritime warfare exercise. It is held biennially and is hosted and administered by the U.S. Navy’s Pacific Fleet in conjunction with the Marine Corps, the Coast Guard, and the Hawaii National Guard forces under the control of the governor of Hawaii. This 3-day trip will focus on cooperative U.S. foreign and defense policy in the Asia Pacific. Delegate activities will include a day-time embark aboard an aircraft carrier, an Air Force familiarization flight, observation of Marine live-fire training on the Big Island, Hawaii, and a special visit to Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial. Additionally, delegates will meet with senior officials at U.S. Pacific Command and U.S. Pacific Fleet and will receive briefings at the East-West Center and the Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies.
