I am honored to introduce myself as the new President and CEO of the Pacific Council on International Policy. This is an incredibly exciting time for me and our organization, and I am eager to embark on this journey with you.
First and foremost, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your ongoing commitment and support. Our members are the heart and soul of this organization, and my top priority will always be to ensure your voices are heard. Your engagement and active participation are vital to our success, and I am committed to fostering an environment where your contributions are valued and celebrated.
I would also like to take a moment to acknowledge the remarkable leadership of my predecessor, Dr. Jerrold D. Green. Over his 16-year tenure, he has guided the Pacific Council with dedication, vision, and integrity, leaving a lasting legacy on our organization and the broader global affairs community. I am so grateful for his tireless service and significant contributions. I am committed to building on the strong foundation he has established.
This May, Dr. Green and I had the opportunity to record a discussion on U.S.-Mexico relations, the importance of supply chains from a California perspective, positive changes in the Middle East, and the amplification of the Pacific Council’s role in international debates. I hope you will take a moment to view it on our YouTube channel; it is a fantastic primer of things to come.
In the coming months, we will embark on a strategic planning process, and your input will be crucial. Please feel free to reach out at any time as we work to strengthen our community. Together, we will build on our strong foundation and elevate the Pacific Council, becoming the indispensable voice on international affairs on the West Coast.
Thank you, again, for your dedication and support. I am excited about this new chapter and am confident that, together, we will achieve great things.
Warm regards,
Duncan Wood, PhD
President and CEO
