Nancy Lieberman, a respected and long-time member of the Pacific Council’s Board of Directors, passed away on April 12 in New York City. She was a truly exceptional human being whose accomplishments included becoming the youngest partner in the history of her law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher, and Flom. In addition, Nancy co-founded the organization New Yorkers to Cure Paralysis after a horrific ski accident left her quadriplegic in 2007.
As a dedicated Pacific Council member for over 25 years and a longtime member of the Board of Directors, Nancy was an unwavering supporter of and friend to the Pacific Council. She also had a passion for travel, joining the Council on multiple international delegations, including visits to Brazil and China. Nancy was an uplifting and powerful presence on the Council, inspiring those around her with her intelligence, courage, and remarkable attitude toward life.
