2020 GLOBAL GIFT GUIDE

This holiday season, we are all celebrating a little bit differently. Social distancing, staying at home, and virtual get-togethers are our new normal. The Pacific Council has put together a global gift guide focused on creating memories as we all stay at home and bringing the world to your doorstep. Start shopping and supporting small businesses hit hardest by COVID:

FOR ADULTS:

1) Atlas Coffee Club - Try coffee from around the world. This coffee of the month club delivers exotic coffee to your door. Each box includes: a curation of the world's best single origin coffee, postcard from a new country each month, and tasting notes and brewing tips for each batch.

2) Coral Gardeners: Adopt Super Corals - Bring new life to the reef by adopting your super coral:

  1. Choose from a selection of 10 super coral species.
  2. Give a name to your super coral and customize your super coral card.
  3. Proceed to checkout and receive a digital version of your card and/or a printed version.

3) Democracy 4 - Democracy 4 lets you take the role of President or Prime Minister, govern the country (choosing its policies, laws and other actions), and transform the country as you see fit, while trying to retain enough popularity to get re-elected.

4) Political Buttons of America Puzzle - Push partisan politics aside and put your support behind something that truly matters: finding a resolution to this 500-piece jigsaw challenge. From the stately (Benjamin Harrison-1892) to the satirical (Archie Bunker-1972), a collage of over 80 U.S. campaign buttons begins to form with every correctly placed piece. Call a joint session of your “house representatives” for some cooperative puzzle fun—regardless of where they may fall on the political spectrum.

5) Universal Yums - Universal Yums sends you a box of snacks and candies from a different country every month. The products they select are delicious, unique, and often extremely difficult (or even impossible) to find in the United States. Each box also comes with an interactive guidebook to steer your adventure – including trivia, games, recipes, culture, and more.

6) Votes for Women Puzzle - In the mid 19th century, scores of women (and men) began fighting tirelessly for the female vote and didn't stop until the 19th Amendment passed in 1920 (and even then, they didn't stop). So, the least you can do is tackle this 500-piece puzzle that showcases the leaders of the movement. Celebrate a century of suffrage by building this beautifully illustrated circle of voting rights champions, from Hester C. Jeffrey to Elizabeth Cady Stanton to Frederick Douglass. This colorful challenge comes with a poster-sized pamphlet offering bonus information on this landmark development in American history.

LUXURY GIFTS:

7) Box Fox: Let’s Get Away - Every adventure starts somewhere. The LET'S GET AWAY box is the gift to get someone excited for their next big getaway. From a cool bag tag to a book to inspire your bucket list, a special someone is bound to be inspired to book that great trip.

Each quarter your curated box will transport you to an amazing destination with hand selected books from travel writers, ethically-sourced tea, and limited-edition art print.
