On Monday, August 10, at 11 am PT, the Pacific Council will host a webinar examining the evolving conflict between Iran, Israel, and the United States, and its latest developments in negotiating an end to the war. Professor Sahar Razavi, Associate Professor of Political Science at California State University, Sacramento, in conversation with Dr. Jerrold D. Green, Senior Fellow for Middle East and South Asia, will discuss the political calculations shaping negotiations, the role of regional actors, and what the current moment may reveal about the future of the Middle East. 

On Wednesday, July 22, at 10 am PT, the Pacific Council will host a webinar to take stock of the complex and often contradictory effects of the critical minerals industry on Africa. Attendees will hear from Kidan Araya, Founder and Director of the Africa Climate x Nature Salon; Kristi M. Rogers, Co-Founder & President, PRISM; Dr. Vera Songwe, Chair of the Board of the Liquidity and Sustainability Facility; and British A. Robinson, Chair and Managing Director, Africa, Milken Institute, and Africa Senior Fellow at the Pacific Council.

On Tuesday, July 14, at 9 am PT, the Pacific Council will host a webinar on the security crisis reshaping U.S.-Mexico relations. The event will feature Lila Abed, Director of the Mexico Program at the Inter-American Dialogue; Dr. Cecilia Farfán-Méndez, Head of the North American Observatory at the Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime; Dr. Vanda Felbab-Brown, Senior Fellow in Foreign Policy, Director of the Initiative on Nonstate Armed Actors, and Co-Director of the Africa Security Initiative at the Brookings Institution; and Clare Ribando Seelke, Specialist in Latin American Affairs at the Congressional Research Service.

On Tuesday, July 7, at 10 am PT, the Pacific Council, in partnership with the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), will host a webinar presenting the findings of the 2026 Global Peace Index (GPI) and examining MENA's peace trajectory alongside broader global trends. Attendees will hear from Michael Collins, Executive Director, Americas, of the Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP), Dr. Benjamin Radd, MIT Wargaming Lab Fellow; Senior Fellow, UCLA's Burkle Center for International Relations; & Professor, UCLA Law and USC Gould School of Law, Dr. Paul B.
