The conversation will focus on the novel approaches cities, such as Abu Dhabi and Los Angeles, provided towards mitigating the COVID-19 pandemic and share lessons learned as the world charts a path forward for the future of international cooperation and disaster response.

Dr. Soniya Gandhi is an infectious disease specialist at Cedars-Sinai and Vice President of Medical Affairs and Associate Chief Medical Officer. In January 2020, Dr. Gandhi led the medical team that treated the first patient in Los Angeles known to have contracted SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, after traveling from Wuhan, China, to L.A.
