A Pacific Council delegation visit to Honolulu, Hawaii to explore the mission and operations of the United States Pacific Command (USPACOM), as well as local think tanks, the East-West Center, and Pearl Harbor.
Composed of nearly 360,000 military and civilian personnel, USPACOM is committed to enhancing stability in the Asia-Pacific region. Its Area of Responsibility encompasses about half of the earth's surface, from the waters off the West Coast of the United States to the western border of India, and from Antarctica to the North Pole. USPACOM is the oldest and largest of the unified combatant commands.
