Mr. Areikat serves an ambassadorial function, especially in regards to the Arab-Israeli conflict as Chief Representative. He previously served as the Director-General of the Negotiations Affairs Department of the PLO in Ramallah in 1998 during which he supervised the Negotiations Support Unit.
