The Pacific Council was proud to host decorated war veteran and author Elliot Ackerman for a luncheon roundtable discussion and book event.

Mr. Ackerman shared the inspiration for his stirring debut novel, Green on Blue, about a young Afghan orphan and the harrowing, intractable nature of war. As a veteran of the Iraq and Afghan Wars, having served five tours of duty, Mr. Ackerman provided expert insight into what lies ahead for both countries.
