Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, Israel
The Pacific Council invites you to participate in 6-8 day visit to Israel and Jordan to explore the unique history and culture of the region and to gain insight into its social and political landscape. The 6-day visit to Israel will include a stop in Tel Aviv where delegates will participate in everything from a food tour of the Levinsky Market to a visit to an IDF military base to dinner with senior government officials. The second half of the agenda will be spent in Jerusalem where delegates will have a chance to explore the rich historical heritage of the city as well as meet with cabinet level ministers at The Knesset, visit a kibbutz, and have a Shabbat Dinner with a local Jerusalem family. The delegation will also spend some time in the West Bank to gain further insight into the Arab Israeli conflict and its human, political, and territorial dimensions.
The optional 2-day extended trip to Jordan will include a jeep ride through Wadi Rum, the largest valley in Jordan, a comprehensive tour of Petra, one of the new seven wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a tour of Amman.
