Walter Pesenti is the Vice President, Manufacturing Excellence, of NOVA Chemicals. In this role, he is responsible for operational excellence, asset management, operations, and capital projects programs to drive bottom-line impact.
Pesenti joined NOVA Chemicals in January 2022. He brings more than 30 years of experience working across the globe with downstream, chemicals, and upstream companies assessing, developing, and implementing business transformations, which resulted in reducing risk exposure and financial savings.
Prior to joining NOVA Chemicals, Pesenti was Global Petrochemicals Operational Excellence Manager at INEOS Aromatics. Throughout his career, he has held numerous leadership positions in capital projects, turnarounds, reliability, maintenance, and operations at ExxonMobil, Shell, and BP.
He holds a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science, in Business Administration from Pepperdine University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
