Stephan Margolis is an adjunct faculty member at CSU, Fullerton’s Department of Psychology, where he teaches forensic psychology and critical thinking. He holds dual BA degrees in Psychology and Philosophy, and Master's degrees in Philosophy, Behavioral Science, and Public Administration. A distinguished graduate of the FBI National Academy, West Point Leadership Instructors Course, and LAPD Command Officer Development, he has collaborated with Dr. Dame Jane Goodall for over three decades. Currently, he serves as President/CEO of Margolis Solutions Inc. 

After retiring as a lieutenant from LAPD's Major Crimes Division following 40 years of service, Mr. Margolis led one of the U.S.'s largest anti-terrorist units and established the groundbreaking first transnational organized crime unit. His extensive career includes high-profile investigations against international mafias, terrorists, narcotics traffickers, and organized gangs. 

Mr. Margolis has advised and trained personnel from the FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, DoD, DoE, Secret Service, and the Intelligence Community and briefed the White House. He developed a crisis decision-making model integral to the National Nuclear Security Administration's operations. He has been a prominent speaker at significant international forums, including the International Association of Chiefs of Police, Federal Emergency Management Issues/Special Interest Group (Keynote Speaker), President Gorbachev’s State of the World Forum, and various televised press conferences. 

His research extends to cutting-edge interrogation techniques, the science of deception detection, and innovative methods in memory recovery. Recognized with over 200 commendations from diverse sectors, including community, academic, and federal agencies, Mr. Margolis actively contributes as an Executive Board Member of the Los Angeles Police Historical Society and as a Board Member of the Jane Goodall Legacy Foundation.
