Stephen Kahng is a principle of Arboretum Capital and also president of Kahng Foundation. Currently Steve spends most of his time to philanthropy and non-profit work through his family foundation. He is currently on the board of Hoover Institution of Stanford University, San Francisco Opera, Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, Kaist US foundation and the committee for Human Rights in North Korea. He is also a member of Presidents Leadership council member at Asia Foundation.
Previously Steve founded Power Computing Corp. in 1994 as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Power Computing was a successful high tech company with annual revenue in excess of $500 Million in 5 years. In 1999 the company was acquired by Steve Jobs at Apple computer.
Prior to Power Computing, Steve was Senior Vice President and General Manager a Chips and Technologies, Inc. He was also consultant to many high technology companies including Comaq Corporation, Digital Equipment Corporation, , Olivetti, Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics and Daewoo Electronics.
Steve interviewed most of major press including Business Week, Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Newsweek, New York Times, CNN, ABC, NBC and CBS.
