MAJ Casella is a Civil Affairs officer and former infantry officer with operational experience in Southeast and Southwest Asia. Prior to joining the military he was an international economic development consultant and traveled extensively in China while in private practice. His education includes undergraduate degrees from Florida State University, a Master's degree in Environmental Sustainability from Harvard University and a Master's (second level) from the University of Turin (Italy.)
