As a 1986 graduate St. Margaret's Episcopal School, Mark was the first to receive the prestigious Bishop’s Award, the highest honor bestowed on a high school graduate by the Episcopal Church. After St. Margaret’s, Mark attended the University of Southern California graduating in 1990 as a member of the honors society, Phi Alpha Theta. After earning a masters degree in urban planning, he was invited to enter the University of Tulsa, College of Law. While in law school, Mark was involved with the Boesch Legal Clinic providing legal aid to underserved groups in Tulsa County. With passage of the California bar in 1996, he joined the law firm of Seguin & Paul, LLP handling trust and employee benefits litigation. In 2002, Mark decided to open his own office in Irvine and now specializes in contract and employment matters, ERISA compliance and Employee/Employer Separation Agreements. For Mark, the St. Margaret’s experience instilled the importance of achievement tempered by wisdom, faith and service. Volunteer experiences include board memberships on St. Margaret’s Church Vestry, the Tartan Alumni Association’s, Alumni Council and Toastmasters International. His office currently hosts the Independent Senior Class Project for St. Margaret’s students interested in pursuing careers in the law. Mark is also a certified arbitrator for the California Dispute Settlement Project. In his capacity as arbitrator, he has heard over 200 disputes involving California Lemon law claims and dealer fraud.
