Laura Chapman Rubbo is Director, Global Public Policy at The Walt Disney Company, headquartered in Burbank, California. Laura leads policy and issue analysis for Disney's global human rights, international labor standards, and supply chain efforts.  She helped to co-write Disney's global human rights policy and leads the Supply Chain Investment Program, designed to fund and support innovation in global supply chain human rights monitoring and improvement.  She leads the companies engagements with the International Labor Organization, the labor agency of the United Nations, and is a frequent panelist and speaker on business and human rights matters at the UN, OECD, and a variety of related industry forums. Laura previously worked at BSR and at Gap Inc. on business and human rights issues.

Laura is Chair of the Corporate Responsibility Committee of the United States Council for International Business, a member of the Advisory Board of Social Accountability International, a member of the Pacific Council on International Policy, a member of the Board of Overseers of the University of Connecticut’s Human Rights Institute, a Senior Fellow at the University of Southern California’s Brittingham Social Enterprise Lab. Laura was also part of the United States delegation to the International Labor Organization’s 2014 and 2016 International Labor Conferences and participated in an Advisory Group to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on Responsible Supply Chains in the Textile and Garment Sector. She has a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from the George Washington University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and German from the University of Connecticut.
