
Kimiya is a journalist specialized in digital content and documentary filmmaking whose work has spanned across four continents. Her work can be seen on the BBC World Service, CBC, The New York Times, International Olympic Committee, Olympic Channel, and U.S. Olympic Committee.
In 2018, she joined the BBC World Service to expand television programming across Africa in French and English. In 2016, she was a part of the core team that launched the Olympic Channel, a multiplatform global sports channel. She has been across eight editions of the Olympic Games, including the inaugural summer and winter Youth Olympic Games (2010, 2012). She was the first-ever "IOC Younger Reporter" in a pilot program by the International Olympic Committee at the Winter Olympic Games Vancouver 2010.
Kimiya is a University of Southern California Annenberg fellow, M.A. Specialized Journalism (2014). She is fluent in English and French, and also speaks Farsi (Persian).
