Jon Vein is an entrepreneur, civic leader and philanthropist.  Jon co-founded and served as the CEO of MarketShare, which was acquired 2015 in one of the largest acquisitions of an LA business. He then pursued efforts in the public sector. He has been recognized as one of the 500 Most Influential People in Los Angeles by The Los Angeles Business Journal, and was a winner of the 2016 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Los Angeles. 

Before MarketShare, Jon served as COO of AMG and APG, where he engineered AMG's sale to The Firm. Before joining AMG/APG, Jon was COO of Film Roman, where they produced shows such as The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Family Guy, and other award-winning shows.  An Emmy Award winner, Jon started his media career as a founding partner of law firm Dern & Vein.
 
Before attending law school, Jon was a practicing engineer at Teledyne and Hughes Aircraft working on the SDI.
 
Jon is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization. Jon served as the LA’s Ambassador to secure housing for the homeless and survivors of domestic violence during the pandemic. He also co-founded DignityMoves, which focuses on addressing the homeless crisis through providing transitional housing. Jon serves as president of the board of the Los Angeles Tourism Department and served as president of the US Fund for UNICEF’s SoCal Region. He also serves on the board of the LA Phil, LABC and the LA Sports & Entertainment Commission, and served on the Board of Trustees for the California Science Center, CCHE, and CAP. 

Jon holds a US Patent in the field of tissue engineering, (lab grown meat for human consumption) as well as several other patents in marketing analytics.

Jon graduated from the UC Berkeley with a B.S., double-majoring in Material Sciences & Engineering and Electrical Engineering-Computer Science with high honors, and he received his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School.
