Jeanette Quick is Deputy Assistant Secretary at the US Treasury. Prior to this role, she was Deputy Commissioner of Investor Protection at the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation, to which she was appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom. She is a widely recognized expert in fintech and financial services, and previously was Senior Counsel to the United States Senate Banking Committee, where she was the lead advisor on consumer finance to two U.S. Senators. She has also been Head of Compliance, Public Policy, and Financial Services Legal at Gusto, a small business fintech, and Senior Attorney at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Jeanette is an Eisenhower fellow, through which she has lectured on fintech and the Chinese financial system, a Truman National Security Project Political Partner, and a Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs New Leader. She is a past chair of the Consumer Financial Services Committee of the California Lawyers Association.
