Gary M. Gartsman, MD is Co-founder and Medical Director of G9MD Inc. a Dallasbased
company that launched in 2010 to fill a huge gap in the global medical
community by providing mobile access to surgical meetings and educational content,
streamed live to physicians worldwide via G9MD's proprietary healthcare focused
platform. What started as a simple concept - stream, record, and archive physician
lectures and procedures and share them with the medical community - mushroomed
into the development of multiple secure social platforms, broadcasting centers, and a
live streaming service. As demand for G9MD's pioneering live streaming expertise grew,
the company’s offerings expanded to include a portable live video production switcher,
the world's first mobile live streaming app for healthcare, and the G9MD TV video
platform and live-streaming service (G9MD.TV), the first its kind developed specifically
for healthcare providers, industry and patients.
Dr. Gartsman is a Los Angeles native and attended Beverly Hills High School and the
University of California at Berkeley, He received his medical degree from The University
of Chicago and completed his Orthopedic surgery residency at The Hospital for Special
Surgery-Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan. Further medical training included
Fellowships at The Hospital for Special Surgery and the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Dr. Gartsman moved to Houston in 1981 to pursue a career in academic Orthopedic
Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine with a focus on shoulder surgery. He is the
author of 100+ peer-reviewed scientific publications, 4 surgery textbooks and has
delivered presentations at 300+ scientific meetings held world-wide. He was the
President of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and has received 2 Charles S.
Neer awards for medical research.
