Felipe Crowhurst joined the Pacific Council on International Policy in February 2023. Hailing from Santiago, Chile, he is an accomplished young professional with ample international experience in academic research, policy analysis, and consulting in Latin America, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States. His expertise spans international migration, asylum, refuge, foreign policy analysis, and Latin American politics.
Before moving to California in January 2023, Felipe Crowhurst worked for the prestigious legal directory Chambers and Partners in London, United Kingdom. In his role, Felipe interviewed top law firm partners and corporate leaders to unveil and analyze legal, policy, and market trends across the Americas. Academically, Mr. Crowhurst has co-led UCLA and USC research projects on Venezuelan migration, migration policy, and regional governance in South America. In the early stages of his career, Felipe Crowhurst served as a migration policy advisor for senior officers at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Currently, Felipe serves as a Designated School Official (DSO) at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, providing expert advice on F1 visa regulations to international students from more than 40 countries. Also, he has lectured in global affairs, international politics, and foreign policy at Universidad del Desarrollo in Santiago, Chile, since 2018.
Felipe Crowhurst holds an MSc in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands and a Bachelor in Political Science and International Relations from Alberto Hurtado University in Santiago, Chile.
