Eugene Minsuk Ohr currently resides in Santa Monica, CA. He serves as an independent director on the board of the Hyundai Motor Company and was previously a partner at the Capital Group Companies. Over the course of his twenty-five years at Capital Group, he served as a research analyst and equity investor with coverage responsibilities in Korea, Australia, and Japan. Based primarily in Los Angeles, Eugene also lived in Tokyo between 1996 and 2001. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.

Outside of work, Eugene was a board member and treasurer of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and served as vice president of the Methodist Foundation of Santa Monica. In the past, he was on the board of the Korean American Museum as well as the finance committees of the Westwood United Methodist Church and the First United Methodist Church of Santa Monica.

Eugene earned his Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University in 1990 where his studies focused on American History. He also spent a lot of time at WHRB-FM radio where he worked as a station manager, business manager, and a classical music DJ.

Eugene is married to Catherine and has two teenage daughters.
