Cliff Gilbert-Lurie is the Co-Managing Partner and a Senior Partner of Ziffren Brittenham LLP, one of the country’s premiere entertainment law firms, where he has practiced since 1986.

Cliff’s practice covers a wide breadth of clients in the entertainment, media, digital, and technologies businesses, including motion picture and television talent, creators and producers of television series, media and software companies, investment funds, and senior executives in the entertainment and media businesses.  Many of his deals over the years have set industry-wide precedents.

Cliff is a former member of the Board of Directors of City National Bank, and past Chairman and current member of the Board of the Alliance for Children’s Rights. He is also a former member of the Board of Governors of the Paley Center for Media, a member of the Board of Advisors for the Peabody Awards and is a member of The Los Angeles Coalition for the Economy & Jobs and the UCLA Galactic Center Group. Previously, he has served on the boards of a number of other charitable institutions, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDs Foundation, and the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts.

Cliff has appeared on many panels and lectures over the years sponsored by UCLA, USC, UC Berkeley, UCSB, The Hollywood Radio & Television Society, and other educational, business, legal, and trade groups, to share his knowledge of the entertainment and media business. He also meets regularly with representatives of leading investment banks and industry analysts to discuss his perspectives about the entertainment business.

Cliff received his J.D. from the UC Berkely School of Law in 1979, where he was elected Order of the Coif and was Associate Editor of the California Law Review. He received an A.B. from UCLA in 1976, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and with Departmental Highest Honors.
