Southern California native Christina Pascucci has traveled to all 7 continents in pursuit of the truth. The Emmy Award-nominated journalist, licensed pilot, and humanitarian has spent her career exposing corruption, changing policy, and highlighting important issues surrounding homelessness, the environment, veteran affairs, mental health, education and human trafficking. The daughter of an immigrant believes in leading with heart, for which she was recognized when the LA Press Club nominated her as Journalist of the Year.
Christina has dived with hundreds of sharks, including great whites, to expose the shark finning industry. She traveled to Palau, an island nation near the Philippines to sit down with President Thomas Remengesau and discuss how others can emulate what Palau is doing on the front lines of climate change. The President of Palau subsequently appointed Christina as Goodwill Ambassador to the country. Christina’s investigative reporting into the wasteful water-use policies of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power resulted in the agency changing its policy to save millions of gallons of water at the height of California’s drought.
Christina has been a big sister and mentor in the Big Brother Big Sisters program for a decade. She was recently nominated by her chapter and the state to be considered for National Big Sister of the Year. As a member of Junior League of Los Angeles’s State Public Affairs Committee, she has worked with California lawmakers to push forward legislation that supports the state’s foster youth and supports families. Christina also serves as LA County Commissioner for the 10 member aviation commission. She advises the LA County Board of Supervisors on matters pertaining to the county’s five airports.
