Brian VanRiper, a seasoned political consultant, brings a wealth of experience and strategic insight to Method Campaigns. With a proven track record in political strategy, public affairs, and campaign management, Brian has established himself as a leader in the field. Throughout his career, Brian has honed his expertise in crafting tailored strategies that resonate with diverse audiences. His deep understanding of voter behavior, coupled with his ability to leverage data-driven approaches, has consistently led to effective messaging and engagement.
Method Campaigns and Brian are leaders specializing in outreach and community engagement. Past clients include the Biden and Obama campaigns, many Los Angeles city council, state legislature and congressional campaigns. As well as development, unions, non-profit and an emerging government contract business for clients such as the State of California, Los Angeles Unified School District and the City of Los Angeles.
Every political cycle, Brian’s firm Method Campaigns will staff up campaigns and some cycles have had over 500 employees in a given year. Brian and Method will often be turned to by peers and press to gauge how to adapt to subjects from local homelessness and the public's perception, to how to manage so many staff in the California business environment.
Brian served in the Marine Corps as an infantry machine gunner from 2000 - 2004, with several deployments including Iraq in 2003. He served with 1st Battalion, 4th Marines and 1st FAST Company. Brian resides in Studio City with his wife and daughters. He volunteers with Bet Tzedek legal services, his children’s school and coaches youth basketball.
