Arthur J. Ochoa is an accomplished healthcare executive, attorney and civic leader. As senior vice president of Advancement and chief advancement officer, he leads Cedars-Sinai's community engagement and development teams and co-leads its health equity efforts.

He joined Cedars-Sinai in 2001. Prior to that, Ochoa practiced transactional and tax law for individual, corporate and nonprofit clients at O'Melveny & Myers LLP and Irell &Manella LLP. In his time between college and law school, Ochoa began his career as an advocate and policy analyst in Washington, D.C.

Ochoa's leadership includes serving as board co-chair of the Pacific Council on International Policy, an organization promoting global engagement across Los Angeles and California. He is a past board chair of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, the Marlborough School and the Center for Early Education. He is a board member of the UnidosUS (formerly National Council of La Raza). Ochoa also serves on advisory boards at Yale Law School and Tulane University.

Ochoa lectures frequently on topics including strategic communications, corporate governance, corporate social responsibility and philanthropy. Previously, Ochoa has served as an adjunct faculty member of the University of Judaism (now American Jewish University). He has received awards and recognition from a number of organizations, including Women's Guild Cedars- Sinai, the Southern California Association for Healthcare Development, Charles R. Drew University, National Medical Fellowships, the National Hispanic Health Foundation, the Mexican American Bar Foundation and Boy Scouts of America.

Ochoa earned a bachelor of arts degree in history from the University of Southern California (cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa) and a juris doctor degree from Yale Law School.
