Amitai holds the position of Chief of Staff to Haim Saban, global business leader, philanthropist and CEO & Chairman of Saban Capital Group, an international private investment firm active in real estate, entertainment, venture capital and private equity. Amitai also serves as Executive Director of the Saban Family Foundation.

As Chief of Staff, Amitai acts as a trusted advisor to the CEO and helps manage the execution and communication of key strategic projects and processes across the company that are priorities to the CEO. In this role, Amitai also supervises the government affairs and communication teams for the CEO.

Amitai also oversees the operations of the Saban Family Foundation, which has granted roughly $500 million to non-profit organizations in the US and across the world. In conjunction with the Foundation board, Amitai guides the strategic development and implementation of the Foundation’s philanthropic priorities, which span a range of local issue areas in Los Angeles such as civic vitality and healthcare to more global initiatives focused on US foreign policy and women and girl’s empowerment.

Before joining the Saban team, Amitai worked at The Cohen Group, an international business advisory firm based in Washington D.C., led by former Secretary of Defense William Cohen. There, Amitai provided multinational clients with strategic advice and tactical support in international business development, market entry, regulatory affairs and geopolitical risk analysis. Amitai began his career in New York, where he helped lead strategic planning at a global NGO and previously served as a project analyst at the international firm Mintz Levin.

Amitai received an MBA and MS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. He received his BA in Middle East Studies from Columbia University, where he graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
