The Pacific Council on International Policy is an independent nonprofit organization affiliated with the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California. Pacific Council staff are full time USC employees and are privy to all USC employee benefits.

Each President of the Pacific Council – founder Dr. Abraham F. Lowenthal (1995-2005), Dr. Geoffrey Garrett (2005-2008), and Dr. Jerrold D. Green (2008-present) – has also held an academic appointment at USC that facilitates a relationship of joint programming, leadership collaboration, and connections among students, faculty, and Pacific Council members.
