With ample time for mingling, refreshment, and conversation between substantive sessions, Spring Conference participants convene for a day of debate and exchange with fellow Council members during panel discussions, roundtable dialogues, and a high-level keynote interview.

At a gala event on May 8, the Honorable Hillary Rodham Clinton will deliver one of her first addresses on the west coast since stepping down as U.S. Secretary of State earlier this year. Secretary Clinton will accept the inaugural Warren Christopher Public Service Award from the Pacific Council on International Policy, conferred in recognition of her distinguished service to the country.

Recognized widely as the West Coast’s premier foreign policy forum, the Pacific Council’s Members Weekend is our signature annual event. With a format designed to be deeply engaging to all participants, this invitation-only summit convenes more than 250 business, government, civic, and academic leaders from around the world to analyze and debate the most important global policy issues of our time. The Weekend combines the best of all worlds: high-level policy addresses, lively discussion and debate, and opportunities to meet and interact with peers and colleagues against the backdrop of stunning sunsets and the beautiful Pacific Ocean.

April 6-7, 2013 | U.S. NAVY SITE VISIT: AIRCRAFT CARRIER EMBARK
A small group of Pacific Council Sustaining Members were hosted for a two day embark of a U.S. Nimitz class super carrier and discuss with Navy personnel and leaders naval security operations and issues.
LAX TOUR AND BRIEFING
A small group of Pacific Council members will tour Los Angeles International Airport facilities and be briefed on measures taken to ensure infrastructure security of the sixth busiest airport in the world. Additional details coming soon.
